while The Boy™ was in school, I did a couple of laps around our community pathway – totalled over 25km, topping 63km/h on 12 Mile Coulee Road (it’s OK – that road is posted 60km/h)

Evan and I went to the local Bearspaw farmer’s market to grab some fresh (and hopefully local) produce – of course the definition of “local” produce in Calgary is “BC” or maybe “US” or even “Mexico”. So much for the 100 mile diet…

we had a garage sale as part of our community’s Big Day of Garage Sales. Probably 200 people came through, slowly buying old crap. At 2pm, everything was free. And (almost) everything disappeared, including a couch and loveseat.

it’s a bit hazy, but this is the nicest morning so far this year – I didn’t even need a jacket on the bike ride.
I’d tried sni.ps before – it’s a very cool clip management and embedding service by the Project Opus folks. It’s gotten REALLY nice. Let’s see if I can embed a citation:

This involves moving different tables or different parts of the database into different databases, and normally on different servers. This allows you to scale an application by adding more database servers, so your data could be spread across several servers.
HyperDB allows you to specify which data resides on which servers.
And Jim will love this – it’s powered by a Drupal website…
