You should have a sweet intro for every movie like you coming up over a hill with a sunrise or something. You wouldn’t necessarily have to ride that early, you could throw a background in.

Talking to other riders would be really interesting. Maybe you could do mini-interviews with those who would be willing to participate with you. It would be interesting to see what sorts of interesting people you’d meet.

I just put up some normal-speed videos to test Flickr and Blip.tv - not as exciting, but I'm testing ways to shoot stuff during the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and may not want to speed that up, depending on how it goes (I may try talking to other riders while riding, etc...)

Shopping cart at 1:41. Thought it was going to be closer than it was. I watched your earlier vid when you biked home from work and was disappointed to find there were no silly friends tailing you this time. For something that sounds boring, “watching a video of a bike ride.” It really isn’t. Personally, I love riding my bike and find the video interesting. I think another factor that makes it more fun to watch is the fact that the video is sped up a little. I think real time would be a little less entertaining. Good video and good luck finding the right setting for clamping down the camera.

I did a video on the weekend with my son, and as he as showing me how to use iMovie, he insisted we add some spacecraft sounds to the audio track on that one

Oddly compelling, especially to an old Calgary native, even if I did grow up in the NE. Loved how the passing cars sometimes sounded like Tie-fighters.
