I just tested domain-mapping. installation and domain creation works fine. But I can’t map blogs to other domains at all. If I am not missing something the plugin is not functional.

I just tested Akismet as well and it ran well without any errors in Firefox. But I too, had to make changes early on to get it to work and with those changes it seems to be doing fine again. Must have something to do with it working.

I just tested with Akismet, and didn’t get any errors in either Safari or Firefox.

I had to modify Akismet to make it work before – and it looks like the modifications are still required. After entering your hardcoded key, go down to line 179, where it sets $url, and change
get_option('wordpress_api_key')
to
$wpcom_api_key

Not sure why get_option doesn’t work, but it’s been that way for a long time.

I’ve found that Akismet doesn’t work as before. When I click on Akismet stats is shows: “Firefox can’t find the server at .web.akismet.com.” This is using the hard-coded API key with the latest version of the plugin in /mu-plugins/
