I’ve always loved Heritage Park. I worked there for a few summers in the early 90’s, and met my wife on the job. The Park always has a magical timeless quality that seems so comfortable to me. I took Evan there for a couple of hours this afternoon, and he really enjoyed seeing (and doing) how things were done a century ago.

Wow – the colours there are spectacular. I took The Kids™ to Heritage Park this summer, thinking they would quickly get bored. To my surprise we spent about 6 hours there. I think they could have gone on the rides (especially the ferris wheels) for another 2 hours but we had to get back for supper. I think most kids are fascinated by the way things used to be, much more than we might expect. Mine were every bit as fascinated there as they were at the zoo. I think the zoo actually overstimulated them since they seemed to tire out much more quickly.

It is a timeless, magical place. You are lucky to have a place like that where you live.

  2. Beautiful pictures, as always, D’Arcy!

By the way, I was able to see all the pictures in Bloglines. I just had to advance them manually. It was worth the effort and I got to look at them as long as I wanted to!
