on open mindedness and the institution

in general

I stopped to record a quick stream-of-thought rant about openness and the institution. My opinions are my own, not my employers, etc… Please don’t fire me.

And, yes, I know that I said “thousands of years” – I meant “hundreds…” or “a long time”. Whatever.

Dug your thoughts on this topic. It is scary for a MS/HS to think that these issues, not only exists, but seem to be amplified in Universities.

I guess my comment is, if the access to information and knowledge were accessible and free, why would anybody throw themselves into life long crippling debt? The universities would have no reason to exists, except to promote their degrees, and let’s face it that is why mot people follow higher education in the first place.
