Yes! My mother threw my out and I never forgave. All will be forgotten now. Thanks.
Sweet! This was the first electronic game I ever got. My grandmother got it for me for Christmas and I played that thing until the keys were worn bare. I am getting this right now.
I love the “Easy/Hard” switch.
I don’t know why that’s so much funnier than choosing a setting on your X-box. But the fact it’s a switch is hilarious to me.
Dean, maybe be grateful your Mom threw yours out. Mine didn’t, and this summer on my last trip to see her, with my kids in tow, she tried to pawn them off on my kids. The older one, who already has a Nintendo DS, tried it for a few seconds and then just looked at her kind of cock-eyed. I tried to explain to him that when I was a kid, this was The Bomb. Which seemed only to confirm to him that Dad was a lame video game player
Hi, I found your blog on this new directory of WordPress Blogs at blackhatbootcamp.com/listofwordpressblogs. I dont know how your blog came up, must have been a typo, i duno. Anyways, I just clicked it and here I am. Your blog looks good. Have a nice day. James.
@James – yeah. I’m quite sure it was a simple typo, and that you weren’t just trying to sniff out a blog that allows links to be posted on comments so you could blast it full of spam using a l337 skrypt kiddie app. A typo. I’m sure they meant to add xarcynorman.net and just totally screwed up and hit the “D” key instead. That explains it much better than a silly cartel of spam roaches trying to create a list of wordpress blogs so they can shit their garbage all over them.
@D’Arcy,
Love your response to the evil spammer, but love this hand held football came even more. I got one of these in the early, early 80s, could it have been as early as 80? Loved it, played it for hours, days, weeks on end, the graphics sucked the game play is ludicrous by today’s standards, but damn it it was fun. And I was taken my the fact that I could replicate the idea of a stand up video game in my palm. We’ve come a long way, and I wonder if the wonder is still with us?
Awesome post, brings back the memories and you know how I love nostalgia.
