I dropped Spam Karma awhile back – it’s not under active development anymore, and was letting far to many spams through. Which is unfortunate, because it was the best option for campus blogging without having to pay the high Akismet tax…

Hi Darcy-
We used RC1 for our last seminar-
and had a little flakiness with it- but, hopefully golden master has the bugs out.
Noticed some different behaviors between Safari and Firefox- with Safari doing the cool lightbox thing- and Firefox not
I’ve had the hardest time telling people to downsize their pics- I’ve never tried to do an 8megapixel upload before- I typically use iPhoto to export smaller.
The new fixed size thumbnail took some getting used to- and I didn’t have any luck with positioning the pic before sending to the editor.
We’ll see what the GM has fixed.
I want to know if Spam Karma still worked with it?

I like it, but it’s definitely going to take some getting used to. btw, thanks for testing the OpenID plugin. Good to know that works too

It went pretty smoothly – the only plugin I lost (likely only temporarily) is Popularity Contest. And it’s something I only very rarely ever looked at, so it won’t be missed. Check out Matt’s screencast of the new media manager. Nice
