Great post, D'Arcy, with some v. interesting ideas on rolling this out in an educational context.

When the Blogbridge Feed Library first came out, I thought it looked very promising for potential educational use (thoughts here: http://blogs.open.ac.uk/edit/mt-search.cgi?search=blogbridge%20feed%20library&IncludeBlogs=1149) but for whatever reason I've not got round to installing a local version yet - something your post will inspire me to do...

Your post mentions putting effort into helping develop Blogbridge library. A couple of things I be keen to be involved in working up include:

1) support for serialised feed subscription (http://blogs.open.ac.uk/edit/mt-search.cgi?search=serial%20feed&IncludeBlogs=1149 ). I am particularly keen on the idea of static web feeds for elearning course content delivery (eg http://blogs.open.ac.uk/Maths/ajh59/009142.html ). This allows users to subscribe at any time and then receive personally scheduled feeds; any time course starts, essentially.

2) integration with the String'n'Glue learning environment, Stringle (http://ouseful.open.ac.uk/stringle ); I haven;t thought this through at all yet...

3) feed previews via Grazr ( http://grazr.com )

Maybe we could hook up on this, and put a case to Pito Salas at Blogbridge for an educational extension/add-on (or if necessary, an educational release/fork)?

Very cool, D'Arcy. Trailblazing, as usual. I have already jumped on the bandwagon and will be framing out some documentation for this bad boy once I have my head around it!
