UM… NO? THAT WOULD BE PIRATING THE GAMES. TALK TO APPLE. OH, AND THANKS FOR SHOUTING.

ps. I believe the games are actually personalized for each purchaser, embedding the name/email of the new owner.

let’s get Guitar Hero and some of the obscure Japanese music games on there!

dance dance revolution: iPod edition.

actually, almost any of the early activision games would rock with the new touch controller. do you have any contacts upstairs to get that done? ;-)

Hi,

Well I would like to *buy* those games but I can’t since I don’t live in one of the “i Tunes Store designated” countries.

Don’t you think it is a little daft of apple to make the games available for purchase just on one sales channel (and a limited number of countries although they are selling it though www – *world* wide web). Moreover I believe that they are violating some serious consumer rights advertising itunes everywhere but not making it available to all buyers of ipod.

For those of you who want the games… and don’t want to pay… that is morally wrong!! Fie on you!!

Of course… I wonder if you’ve tried going to a bittorent site and entering “ipod games”…

I love pitfall. What about Donkey Kong and Space Invaders?

I don’t think there is enough screen real estate for The Sims…

I haven’t dug into the game format, but someone else did (I forget who, OTOH, but it was either MAKE: or Engadget) and it sounds roughly analogous to the MacOSX application bundle format, and uses aac files for the background music.

Bust-A-Move… that game is classic and would work well with the control scheme.

with the new joystick-simulator touch controller they’re using in some of the new games, I think most of the Old School Games should work pretty well.

Spacewar would be cool. Or Defender. Or Galaga.

Breakout’s actually one of the first games for iPod – it comes built into every iPod that has a screen.

I’m pretty hooked on Zuma though.
