Ah, the great technolust game - the XTi certainly has some features that make it appealing, but like Patrick said, money is better spent on lenses. I know that even if tomorrow the 40D came out that I would not jump at it because right now, I'm still learning my 30D and I can do everything with either an improved lens or in software (stitching to get panoramas and Photoshop/iPhoto/Lightroom Beta for manipulation and touchup.

I must admit the eyepiece sensor thing is cool - I've caught myself trying to shoot while the LCD is on now and again.

I've had a D50 (very little difference from the D70s) for a year now, and as much as I'd kind of like a D80 or a D200, I think the money would be better spent on lenses - so that's what I'll probably end up doing instead.
