Moved servers

in general

There might be some downtime in the next little while as my blog migrates to a new server. Thanks Sami for the insanely generous offer!

Things should be back soon. If you can read this, you’re looking at the shiny new server at Etopian Global Hosting Headquarters.

Great! Thanks, Sami. I’ve been busy creating subdomains to play :-)

have chat.darcynorman.net and wiki.darcynorman.net running now (still need to finish setting up the wiki though…) I might even throw a copy of Drupal up :-)

I installed eaccelerator and I think it significantly does improve performance.

Couldn’t you have pretended to have problems?

I will probably install some sort of php cache to make darcynorman.net load faster for your viewing pleasure ;) It’s from now on a personal mission to satisfy the visitors of this site. heh.

Brian – there were some minor problems that were masked by a working front page :-) I think most stuff is running now, and what is in place is already running a bajillion times better than it ever did on GoDaddy’s server.

Sami – no need to install a cache doodad. Unless you want to, of course. Unless something drastic happens, this site is already running fast enough.

Thanks again!
