Social Software Salon @ UBC

As usual, Brian comes up with the best ways to evangelize and communicate about the wonders of social software and online stuff.

Three Amigo Camp will be running the day before Moosecamp, which is in turn the day before Northern Voice. On Thursday afternoon (Feb. 9), we’ll be hanging out at UBC from 12:30-3pm, and everyone is invited to drop in and chat, show/tell, and most importantly mooch on some free catering.

This will be a “Three Amigos” (Brian, Alan and myself - plus guests) production, so expect lots of irreverance, jocularity, sarcasm, and twisting of metaphors. And free food.

D’oh - can’t make it! This sounds like a lot of fun (I’m thinking mostly of the Amigo camp, although I’m sure the rest will be fun as well), but I’ll be busy working and preparing a presentation on the social web for my teaching staff colleagues on Monday. Any chance you’ll have Skype open so some of us from afar can drop by?

I think the plan is to be essentially online for Three Amigo Camp - Skype, whatever. It’s about social software, man!

Sweet - I just left a comment on Brian’s blog. I will be virtually present, and I’ll bring my own fur-lined foil hat. (And a Team Canada thong, just for patriotism!)
