I've moved hosting now (to wordpress.com) but I think it was to do with it being a cPanel-driven server. cPanel was blocking access to "xmlrpc.php". The solution? Simply rename xmlrpc.php it to ANYTHING else, and point Flock to the new filename and you're good to go! Hello guys, I think I solved it in the end. When I select the Movable Type API it takes me to the next screen, but when I add my blog username and password it gives the usual error message "There was an error detecting your blog settings" The XML-RPC script is on my hosting, and the username and password are correct.
