I'm interested in trying this, but I'm coming to the party a bit late. Does this still work with the recent updates to WordPress 2.5?

Hello guys, I think I solved it in the end. I've moved hosting now (to wordpress.com) but I think it was to do with it being a cPanel-driven server. cPanel was blocking access to "xmlrpc.php". The solution? Simply rename xmlrpc.php it to ANYTHING else, and point Flock to the new filename and you're good to go!

Hi D'Arcy-
either you forgot to make a link to Flock- or flock didn't do it...
I learn a lot from your posts- I'd love to see more about tags and how you make all this work the way you do.

Thanks

David - I meant to link to Flock. Must have forgotten to do that before hitting Publish.

Hmm, I tried following your instructions and got nowhere. When I select the Movable Type API it takes me to the next screen, but when I add my blog username and password it gives the usual error message "There was an error detecting your blog settings"

The XML-RPC script is on my hosting, and the username and password are correct.

Any ideas?

Matt - I'm not sure. Something may have changed in the later releases of Flock as well...
