Blogs n Dogs - 4 day blogging workshop in Banff
Filed under: Uncategorized. Tags: banff, conferences, dogsnblogs, weblogs.
I just found a link to Blogs n Dogs via Common Craft.com. Looks like a 4 day workshop on blogging and social software, held in Banff at the Banff Centre. Sounds very intersting. I’ll have to check it out, but not sure I can justify a 4-day conference/workshop in December. Or, maybe that’s perfect timing, since December is usually a write-off anyway…
Sounds like an event tailor made for the illustrious CogDogBlog himself…

would google ads have paid for this?
Heh. yeah. probly would have. dammit - now I have to waffle on that, too
Hey D’Arcy, if UCal won’t send you, there is a contest for a free ticket:

Yeah - thanks, Will. I actually entered that one last night
D’Arcy - Northern Voices makes sense - good for networking and meeting up with old friends. This one - save your doh! Blogs and *dogs* is right. 4 day workshop? - yeah right, learn to be a blogger at the hands of the blogging jedi masters!
Heya Les! I had the same thought - I was more intrigued with hanging out at the Banff Centre for a few days (I mean, come ON - that has GOT to be cool!), and perhaps dogsledding… The agenda (and price) makes it seem like more of a corporate-oriented event anyway. Unless the free ticket contest throws something my way, I’ll take a pass on this one. Actually, even with a free ticket, I won’t be able to go for 4 days anyway… See you in February!
Arf… I’m more of a beach dog. Got an dog blogging events going on in the South Pacific?
Alan - sure thing! As soon as I have 50 people signed up, I’ll rent an island with a conference centre (i.e., bar on the beach, with a satellite IP connection) so we can geek out in style.
Registration details (date, cost, speakers, etc…) haven’t been finalized yet, though.
Wait - I just had a better/more feasible idea! What if we throw a Geek Cruise? Blogging Bash, or something similar…
