As far as show new items only, do you mean something different from Articles/Show only Unread articles? Also maybe this will help: there are preferences to automatically mark all the articles in a feed as "read" when you select a different feed, and something similar for Guides. Generally we get very high marks for performance, but of course it can always be better. If you can spot a specific operation that you feel is slow, please pass it on. Thanks again! Have you tried Vienna yet, by chance? In a lot of ways, I think it's got potential to eat NNW's lunch. And it's got a "new items only" view, as well as date-based smart subscriptions and the ability to multiple-select items vor viewing/flagging/etc. It does have a few bugs right now, though Hmm, I think I’m going to have to try BlogBridge– if only to get ideas for my own tools.
