LOL. Think Canucks did well tonight with Bertuzzi back to the game. I am not a hockey fan though. Anyway, it seems the season restarts make most of my friends happy, that's all I care.

You mean it wasn't up to the level of a seventh game in the Stanley Cup finals?

Glad to see this post -- when you made it through the entire day without a hockey riff I started to worry, maybe you were REALLY stressed out.

And I'm glad Tim had the grace to mention both the Canucks win, and the fact that they are a much better team with Bertuzzi in the lineup (hey, he's OUR thug). So I don't have to look like a gloater trying to re-live yesterday's (or last season's) lost battles.

Or did I just do that anyway? Damn.

Brag brag brag :-)

You just wait until the Flames hit their stride... Or revert to their pre-stanley-cup-season chokery :-) They're still a very strong team, and have some pretty strong depth (i.e., some Old Guys as well as some New Kids), so they could get it going again pretty quickly.

But, actually the outcome of the game wasn't as important as I thought it would have been - disappointing, sure, but it was just sooooo good to have The Game back that it didn't really matter. Next game's a whole different issue, though...

Sens look pretty sharp out of the gate. I guess Don Cherry is calling them to win it all this year. Hard to deny, with Hasek between the pipes -- their third game, shots were tied 35-35, yet they walked away with a 5-0 win. Sweet.

(hey, I like the Flames too, but let's face it, they'll be fighting for a playoff spot, just like last time).

Yeah. That was a pretty sweet shutout.

The Flames are always best/happiest when they're the underdogs, anyway. They thrive under pressure, eventually :-)
