It's an organizing website -- we haven't done anything to define particular modules yet. From talking to many people, we really just felt the need to put together a central spot where education could come to ask questions and discuss issues around the use of Drupal in education.

Hacking core is something that will be extremely limited -- you lose out on many/all gains from open source (or at least, Drupal in this case).

Please, join in and add your 2 cents for what needs adding. A "quiz" module and the concept of being able to grade different kinds of content are two items that would likely be generally useful. What else? What features? What modules? What configurations?

(FYI: The site itself runs on Bryght - you can see our current supported modules list on our support website: http://support.bryght.com/supported-modules)

You can read more about the proposed quiz module at http://www.webs4.com/quiz_module. There is real motion behind the scenes getting this project up and running.
