Drupal 4.6.0 release candidate

Filed under: Uncategorized. Tags:

I haven’t downloaded or installed it yet, but is sounds like Drupal 4.6 is closer than I guessed! Here’s the change log for 4.6 release candidate 1.

Big changes for me:

  • RSS enclosures (aka podcasting)
  • improved theme system (customize theme per blog)
  • improved performance

  1. “improved theme system (customize theme per blog)”

There is no such feature in core. But this has been possible for a while with sections.module.

Hm. Perhaps I misinterpretted the 4.6 Roadmap which links to CivicSpace Labs‘ document which describes a way of letting users select themes for sections of the site.

The Sections.module is more of an admin tool, but CivicLabs’ description sounds more end-userish…
